Secretary
Rev. Steve B. Montenego
Steve
B. Montenegro is a minister of the gospel and an assistant pastor
to his father, Jose Roberto Montenegro,
in Surprise, Arizona. At heart he believes that the greatest calling
one can receive in life is the “high calling of God in Christ
Jesus” mentioned by Paul.
At
the age of 14, while present at the first youth camp that he
had ever attended, Steve received
the calling to be a vessel of
honor in God’s kingdom. Since that moment he has served this
cause in various capacities. At the age of 15 he became vice president
of the local youth group and began his service to the young people.
At the age of 16 he was elected as president of his local youth
group and served in this capacity for the 3 years.
In the year 2000, at the age of 19, Steve was elected to be the
Arizona District Youth President. Having the privilege to serve
at this capacity, his desire was to unite with the bishop and
the board. Furthermore, he fervently worked to help bring up
the new
generation of young people and instill in them the desire to
love God with all their hearts. During this period of 4 and a
half years
as district president he continued to serve his local church
as Youth Pastor and Music Minister.
In
December of 2004 he was asked to serve as Higher Education Coordinator
by the National
MOP President, Dr. Mark Amin, and
his administration.
He had the privilege of serving in this capacity from 2005-2006,
during which the Higher Education Network was implemented.
Steve Montenegro is an alumnus student of Arizona State University:
graduating with a B.S. in Political Science. He graduated Magna
Cum Laude and was a member of the Hispanic Honor Society. Steve
also received his Associates of Arts in Theology from the National
Apostolic Bible College and Logos Christian University.
Steve currently works as a District Representative for U.S.
Congressman Trent Franks. He is also currently seeking his
JD Law degree.
Steve remains a servant at heart with a deep calling to preach
God’s word and serve His church unceasingly. The desire of
his heart is to be a vessel of honor in God’s hands.
